Genre Derby

[picture night]

It's time to pony up!

This year KDL is hosting its first ever Genre Derby to raise funds for the library collection.

What's a Genre Derby?

Each of KDL’s adult fiction genres is represented by a horse. During the Genre Derby, KDL supporters will be able to nudge their horse past the others by donating funds to the library for purchasing books in their favorite genre. The crowdfunding effort will begin online on February 1, 2014. On March 4, 2014, the races will end in a finish line party at Vitale's in Comstock Park and the winner will be named!

We need your help to get ready to launch!

You're invited to support the library and have fun during the Genre Derby picture night event, where you will have your picture taken (and maybe even be interviewed by Shelley Irwin) to support your favorite genre! A photo booth will be set up for you to get your picture taken with fun derby props. There will also be free food and drink specials (cash bar).

Wednesday, December 11, 2013, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
(Photo booth will close at 6:30 PM)
